Education has been a cornerstone of the LBMEC since our founding in 1880. The “E” in LBMEC stands for “Educational,” reflecting our deep commitment to developing minds as well as souls. We operate both post-secondary and secondary educational institutions across Liberia, providing quality education rooted in Christian values and Baptist principles. Our schools have produced generations of leaders who have served Liberia and the world with distinction.

Our Commission on Education

The LBMEC Commission on Education oversees all Convention educational institutions. The Commission:

  • Stimulates interest in and promotes educational goals

  • Ensures compliance with Liberian educational laws

  • Coordinates with the Ministry of Education

  • Supports the development of quality curricula

  • Promotes training and capacity building
